About this tool

Legga001 Shiny Counter is a free, independent Pokémon fan tool operated by Alan James Leggett. Contact: legga001@hotmail.com. These terms apply to use of this website. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Using the counter

You may use the counter, timer, probability calculations and Shiny Dex for your own lawful purposes. Do not interfere with the site, bypass its protections, introduce malicious code or use it to infringe another person’s rights.

Odds and game information

Probabilities are mathematical estimates based on selected rules and independent encounters. They do not guarantee a shiny or a successful catch. Game updates, events, encounter eligibility, RNG behaviour and user settings can affect the result. Check the linked game references for unusual hunts. The species selector is not a complete location or availability database.

Your saves and backups

If you enable device saving, guest hunt data is stored in your browser. Optional Google sign-in enables a private cloud save through Supabase. Clearing browser data, using another device, changing the site address or browser restrictions can make saves unavailable. Export backups regularly. If saving is declined, your session can be lost when the page closes. Imported files must be backups you are entitled to use.

Optional accounts

Use only an account you control. Keep your Google account secure, sign out on shared devices and do not put sensitive personal information in hunt names. Cloud saves can be replaced when you import a backup or explicitly choose a device save over the cloud copy. Synced timers are saved as elapsed time and open paused on another device. Network failures, service limits or conflicting edits may delay sync; check the status and keep exports of important hunts.

You can delete your counter account and its live cloud saves using the account controls. This does not delete your Google account or exported backups. Google and Supabase provide parts of this service under their applicable terms and privacy arrangements.

Availability and changes

The tool may change or be unavailable. We aim to correct reported errors but cannot promise uninterrupted service or that every game rule is covered. We may update these terms; material changes will be described with a new update date. Mandatory rights are unaffected.

Ownership and credits

The Legga001 branding and original site code remain with their respective rights holders. Pokémon names, characters, images and related marks belong to their respective owners, including Nintendo, Game Freak and The Pokémon Company. This site is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by them. Acknowledging an owner is not a licence to reuse their material.

Pokémon names/forms and sprites use the PokéAPI project and its PokéAPI sprite collection on GitHub. Linked research and game-information sites remain the property of their owners. External sites have their own terms and privacy practices.

Responsibility

The tool is provided without a promise that its estimates or availability will meet every need. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for loss caused by reliance on a probability estimate or failure to keep a backup. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your mandatory consumer rights remain in place.
